POWERCAB STORM

POWERCAB STORM – electric cryotherapy without an external chiller

POWERCAB STORM is Medner’s air-cooled whole-body cryotherapy chamber. It combines electric refrigeration with adjustable high-power airflow, offering a different installation approach from the externally recooled LIGHT and PRO models.

No external chiller is required, but the room must provide suitable air conditioning and humidity control. STORM is an option for hotels, spas and recovery facilities seeking an enclosed cryotherapy experience with a compact equipment footprint.

POWERCAB Advantages: Built Around Your Wellness Business

Make cryotherapy a recognisable part of your spa experience. The POWERCAB range combines a distinctive cabin design with electric refrigeration, natural refrigerants and digital control. For a hotel, resort or recovery studio, this creates an opportunity to introduce a premium service alongside fitness, massage and relaxation programmes.

  • No liquid nitrogen logistics: electric refrigeration removes the need to organise recurring liquid-nitrogen deliveries for the chamber.
  • Natural refrigerants: the manufacturer highlights R290, R1150 and R600a in its range-level comparison, with low global-warming potential relative to the HFC examples in the brochure.
  • Energy-conscious operation: choose cooling capacity and room services together. The manufacturer positions the range around efficient operation; actual consumption depends on the model, use pattern, room conditions and auxiliary equipment.
  • Service and control: the range offers connected controls and remote maintenance/software updates, subject to the selected configuration and network connection.
  • A sustainability story grounded in equipment choices: natural refrigerants can form part of your purchasing and environmental criteria. Any subsidy eligibility or regulatory obligations must be checked for the specific installation and location.
  • A premium guest impression: heated viewing glass, ambient lighting and optional or model-included music help make the equipment part of the wellness space.

Key Benefits for Your Guests

The brochure presents whole-body cryotherapy as a brief, invigorating cold-air experience. Its guest-facing themes include a feeling of freshness, post-activity recovery, relaxation, mental clarity, refreshed skin and sleep-related wellbeing. These are experience and benefit themes described by the manufacturer, not guaranteed outcomes.

  • For active stays: a distinctive addition to a sports, golf or fitness-focused visit.
  • For spa journeys: a short, memorable experience that can be offered alongside existing treatments.
  • For wellness travellers: an opportunity to explore a different wellness technology in a professionally operated setting.

Key Benefits for Hotels, Spas & Recovery Studios

  • Stand out: give your property an identifiable wellness feature and a reason for guests to explore your spa menu.
  • Create new packages: offer cryotherapy as an individual booking or a component of a wider wellness programme.
  • Plan for repeat visits: digital controls help operators deliver consistent session settings within the manufacturer’s protocols.
  • Choose your operating concept: the hospitality brochure describes a self-service software option. Availability, screening, supervision and operating requirements must be confirmed before adopting this mode.
  • Build a realistic business case: assess local demand, staffing, opening hours, installation and energy costs against your proposed pricing.

Compare the Three POWERCAB Models

Model overview from the hospitality brochure
ModelDimensions (mm)WeightCooling approach
LIGHT1,944 × 1,376 × 2,425420 kgExternal recooling
PRO1,944 × 1,376 × 2,425500 kgDual compressor; external recooling
STORM1,944 × 1,275 × 2,425450 kgAir-cooled; no external chiller

The specification page lists consumption figures of 3.5 kWh for LIGHT, 7 kWh for PRO and 3.5 kWh for STORM, without defining the measurement period or conditions. These brochure figures are not an hourly rating or a guaranteed operating cost. Request confirmed model-specific consumption data for your quotation.

Plan an Air-Cooled STORM Installation

STORM avoids the external chiller circuit used by LIGHT and PRO. Its heat must instead be managed by the installation room, which is why the manufacturer specifies strong air conditioning and a dehumidifier.

  • Keep the room below 23°C and relative humidity below 35%.
  • Provide at least 250 cm ceiling height and an access door at least 85 cm wide.
  • Allow 80 cm rear clearance and 100 cm lateral clearance to the door.
  • Consider the listed 40 cm diameter rear exhaust option in the ventilation plan.
  • Provide a 400 V, 16 A, C16 supply, with a listed maximum demand of 5,000 W, plus a LAN outlet with internet access.
  • Plan floor support for the 450 kg unit and have the final structural and service requirements checked for the site.

Send Sea Haven your room dimensions and a floor plan to discuss the air-cooled configuration and final equipment package.
